Let’s jump into the V-Day Sauerkraut Recipe!

Tools: Complete Fermentation Kit, 1 quart Mason jar
 
Ingredients: 1 small red cabbage (about 2lbs), 1 tbsp sea salt or Himalayan pink salt
 
Instructions:

  1. Finely shred your cabbage and place it in a large bowl.
  2. Sprinkle the salt over the cabbage.

  3. Use the Pickle Packer to pound the cabbage until it releases its juices. (It’s a mini workout—it takes about 15 minutes!)

  4. Transfer everything into your jar, including the liquid at the bottom of your bowl.

  5. Use a Pickle Pebble to keep everything below the brine level.

  6. Top with a Pickle Pipe and secure with the screw band.

  7. Store in a dark spot like a cupboard or pantry and let it ferment for 2-4 weeks.
